Medium Roast - Kenya Microlot — Karimikui, Kirinyaga

<p>Karimikui sits in the Gichugu division of Kirinyaga, on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya, at 1600 to 1900 meters. This is a washed peaberry microlot — Batian, SL28, SL34, and Ruiru 11 — and it is the loudest coffee on our shelf right now, in the best way.</p><p>Golden raisin comes first, big and unmistakable, followed by cola and caramel and a jammy grape note that lingers well past the swallow. The acidity is intensely juicy. The sweetness is syrupy and thick. If the last Kenya was bright and electric, this one is deep and sweet — same country, completely different animal.</p>
