<p>Peaberry is what happens when a coffee cherry produces one round bean instead of two flat ones — an accident of nature that happens in maybe five percent of any harvest. Growers sort them out by hand, and the result is a cup with a density and evenness you don't get otherwise. This Tanzanian is washed, pulled from Blue Mountain, Bourbon, Kilimanjaro, and Luwiro trees growing anywhere from 1200 to 1900 meters.</p><p>Mellow dried citrus leads, settling into cocoa with a turn of nutmeg underneath. The acidity is present without being sharp, the sweetness mild and steady. This is the dark roast for people who like a dark roast — round, warm, and easy to keep drinking.</p>
